SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Ray Giacoletti's tenure at Utah began with the Utes making their longest run in the NCAA tournament since playing for the championship in 1998. It's ending well short of that just three years after he was hired as coach.
Giacoletti told his players Friday that he is resigning, effective as soon as Utah's worst season in decades ends.
"This is not the way I would have anticipated three years ago what our vision was," Giacoletti said before the Utes practiced.
