CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Brian Rolston scored the tiebreaking goal at 4:47 of the third period to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.
Rolston blasted a slap shot through the legs of Calgary goalie Miikka Kiprusoff to give the Wild their first lead in the game.
Pavol Demitra, who had an assist earlier, closed the scoring with 5:01 remaining to help the Wild get their sixth straight win. Minnesota pulled one point ahead of Vancouver for top spot in the Northwest Division. The Canucks hosted the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night.
