PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and eight rebounds, and the Portland Trail Blazers snapped a four-game skid with an 100-98 win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.
Fellow rookie Brandon Roy had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and three key baskets in the final 2:44 for the Blazers.
Antawn Jamison had 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wizards. Gilbert Arenas had 19 points and 10 assists, but was just 4-of-16 from the field and came nowhere close to the 50 points he predicted he would score against the Blazers. Most of his points came from the free throw line, where he was 11-of-12.
