DALTON, Ga. (AP) - A former 911 operator used antifreeze to fatally poison her husband and later a boyfriend because they were worth more to her dead than alive, a prosecutor told jurors Friday.
Wrapping up the second murder trial in the deaths, prosecutor Penny Penn told jurors that Lynn Turner's greed for life insurance payouts "took the lives of two men, sacrificed so this defendant could live well."
The defense argued that prosecutors failed to provide hard proof of Turner's guilt. "It's simply not a provable case. There's no evidence," attorney Vic Reynolds said.
