TORONTO (AP) - Darcy Tucker shook off Toronto's worst loss of the season and kept the Maple Leafs close in the playoff race. Tucker scored twice and the Maple Leafs beat Buffalo 4-1 Saturday night to earn a split of the home-and-home series with the Sabres.
Carlo Colaiacovo and Nik Antropov scored for the Maple Leafs, who blew a 4-1 third-period lead in Buffalo on Friday. The Maple Leafs were determined to make up for it, outshooting the Sabres 34-20.
"Our confidence wasn't shaken, but we all felt bad," Tucker said. "To a man, on the bus ride home everybody wanted to have a good effort tonight."
