LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly lower against other major currencies in late European trading Wednesday. Gold rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.3365, up from $1.3344 Tuesday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3340.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Tuesday, included 116.47 Japanese yen, down from 117.95; 1.2090 Swiss francs, down from 1.2143; and 1.1585 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1578.
