SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Crew goalkeeper Andy Greenbaum denied late scoring chances by Real Salt Lake and Columbus played its second consecutive 0-0 tie Saturday.
Mehdi Ballouchy and Jeff Cunningham pressured Greenbaum in the final minutes, peppering the goalkeeper with shots from both sides of the field.
Newly acquired Freddy Adu drew cheers early in each half from the home fans. The teenage midfielder, a regular starter for the first time in his career after being traded from D.C. United in the offseason, dribbled around defenders to distribute lead-in passes and got off a quick shot on goal in the second half.
