 VALENCIA, Spain (AP) - The Louis Vuitton Cup could be rescheduled to begin Friday to avoid staging postponed races in the middle of the current program.
America's Cup organizers will meet with the commission representing the 11 competitors Friday morning to decide whether to scrap the cramped schedule, which has become overloaded because of four straight days of unsuitable wind.
"A situation like this couldn't be anticipated," AC Management president Michel Bonnefous said Thursday. "We are currently in discussion with the regatta director and the challenger commission to determine what, if anything, should be done."
