STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - The trial attorney for Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel testified Thursday that he was not told about a claim implicating two other men until after Skakel was convicted of murder.
Attorney Michael Sherman's testimony contradicted that of one of Skakel's classmates who testified Wednesday that he told the defense attorney of the account before the June 2002 trial.
Skakel, 46, a nephew of Ethel Kennedy, is serving 20 years to life in prison for beating 15-year-old Martha Moxley to death with a golf club in exclusive Greenwich in 1975. He is trying to win a new trial based on Gitano "Tony" Bryant's claim implicating two other men.
