CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson forward James Mays made himself eligible for the NBA draft but did not hire an agent, leaving open the possibility of a return to the Tigers for his senior season.
Mays, 6-foot-9, averaged 12.2 points and 6.4 rebounds last season. He missed the second half of his sophomore season because he was academically ineligible.
"I feel this is an opportunity for me to explore my options," Mays said Wednesday. "This will give me a chance to evaluate where I stand as a player."
