PACHUCA, Mexico (AP) - Pachuca beat Chivas of Guadalajara 7-6 on penalty kicks following a 0-0 tie in overtime Wednesday night to win the CONCACAF Champions Cup, soccer's club championship of North and Central America and the Caribbean.
After 120 minutes without a goal, the game was decided when Chivas' Alberto Medina hit a post on his penalty kick and Landin converted the final kick for Pachuca.
The all-Mexican final opened with a 2-2 tie at Chivas in the first leg last week. Unlike many soccer competitions that have two legs, CONCACAF does not use away goals as a tiebreaker.
