LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was lower against other major currencies in late European trading Friday as the euro hit an all-time high. Gold prices rose.
The euro traded at $1.3682, up from $1.3601 late Thursday in New York, to break its previous record of $1.3667 from December 2004.
Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3616.
