NEW YORK (AP) - Oil prices dropped Tuesday afternoon in advance of Wednesday's government report on oil and gasoline inventories.
"Tomorrow's the big day," said Erit Wittenauer, an energy futures analyst at A.G. Edwards & Sons in St. Louis.
Light, sweet crude for June delivery fell $1.09 to $64.62 a barrel in afternoon trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices had reversed direction several times in earlier trading.
