MOOSE, Wyo. (AP) - Rangers on Tuesday spotted two bodies on Grand Teton believed to be climbers reported late for their return, park officials said.
Grand Teton National Park rangers who spotted the bodies had to delay a recovery attempt until Wednesday morning, after the cold nighttime temperatures make the snow pack more stable, park officials said.
The climbers were reported overdue at 8:20 a.m. Monday, and rangers that day found an empty tent in the Meadows area of Garnet Canyon.
