BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) - An earthquake deep below the Andean ridge shook central Colombia just before midnight on Saturday. Buildings in Bogota rattled for several seconds but no damage or injuries were reported.
The 5.5-magnitude temblor centered some 155 miles northeast of Bogota and was approximately 110 miles underground, said Dale Grant of the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colo.
"It's deep so there shouldn't be any major damage but it should be widely felt," he said.
