DENVER (AP) - A woman who says University of Colorado football players or recruits sexually assaulted her went to a federal appeals court Monday in an attempt to revive the case.
An attorney for Lisa Simpson, who has agreed to be identified in media reports, said a district judge should have considered a pattern of other alleged sexual assaults involving the players and recruits before dismissing the lawsuit by her and an unnamed woman.
U.S. District Judge Robert Blackburn ruled the women failed to prove the university was deliberately indifferent to any harassment.
