CINCINNATI (AP) - Stock in AK Steel Holding Corp. surged 10 percent to a record high on Tuesday on a report that ArcelorMittal, the world's biggest steel maker, was considering making an offer for the company.
The jump prompted broker Steve Wray of Edward D. Jones & Co., whose office is close to AK Steel's biggest plant near Middletown, to get some of his clients, including AK retirees, to sell some of their shares in the company.
"I try to tell them not to be greedy, to take a little profit off the top," he said.
