 NEW YORK (AP) - NBC News has locked Lester Holt into some really long days on the weekend.
Holt will anchor the weekend editions of "Nightly News" while continuing as co-host of "Weekend Today" on Saturday and Sunday, the network said Wednesday.
His predecessor at night, John Seigenthaler, signed off last month when NBC News decided not to renew his contract. NBC said it couldn't afford an anchor whose chief duties were weekend nights.
