FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A former state employee who claimed he was fired for supporting Republican Gov. Ernie Fletcher's 2003 campaign rival can have his job back, the state personnel board said Friday.
Mike Duncan, a former deputy inspector general of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, must be reinstated to the same or a similar position, the board said.
"They terminated him because of politics," said Duncan's attorney, Paul Fauri. "It's clear, plain and simple."
