COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Strippers held up a banner from the Ohio House balcony on Wednesday to protest a bill that would ban patrons from touching dancers.
The Republican-controlled House clapped for the group of about 50 dancers, and then voted 73-24 in favor of the bill. The GOP-controlled Senate will take up the measure.
The Dancers for Democracy group's banner — "Talk is cheap. Speech is priceless." — was later confiscated by security officials because political opinion displays are not allowed in the chamber.
