LOS ANGELES (AP) - National Lampoon Inc. has expanded its Web video offerings by establishing an online network that will be distributed on several Web sites, including Veoh, Joost and YouTube.
The company, which produces feature films as well as short video content, already distributes its content on AOL Video, which is owned by Time Warner Inc., and Brightcove, and it operates its own portals, Nationallampoon.com and TogaTV.com.
The expansion is part of the company's strategy to increase revenue by offering advertisers a wider reach and multiple outlets to reach the young, mostly male, audience that is attracted to National Lampoon's sophomoric college humor.
