ROANOKE, Va. (AP) - A student who was shot in the face during last month's rampage at Virginia Tech has left the hospital, a spokesman said Friday.
Sean McQuade, 22, will continue treatment closer to his hometown of Mullica Hill, N.J. He may need more surgery to repair nerve damage that is causing him facial paralysis, according to his mother's account of his recovery on a Web site.
Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital spokesman Eric Earnhart confirmed McQuade has been discharged, but he cited privacy laws in not disclosing when or any other details.
