ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Members of a union group representing about a third of Walt Disney World's employees have narrowly rejected a tentative labor contract.
Service Trades Council voters, most of whom would receive raises of at least 4 percent under the proposed contract, rejected it 2,870 to 2,583 Friday.
The council represents 21,000 of Disney World's 60,000 employees, from food service to merchandise personnel, lifeguards, vacation planners, stage technicians and janitors.
