BERLIN (AP) - The dollar lost ground against the euro on Wednesday as markets awaited the outcome of high-level economic talks between the United States and China.
The 13-nation euro bought US$1.3484 in afternoon European trading, up from the US$1.3454 it bought in New York late Tuesday. The dollar dipped to 121.44 Japanese yen from 121.57 yen.
The British pound rose to US$1.9866 from US$1.9716 after the Bank of England released minutes from its May 10 Monetary Policy Committee meeting.
