BERLIN (AP) - The dollar gained against the euro Thursday after U.S. data showed a modest rise in orders for durable goods, suggesting that the labor market remains relatively healthy.
The 13-nation euro bought $1.3447 in afternoon European trading, down from $1.3458 in New York late Wednesday.
The British pound advanced to $1.9883 from $1.9861, while the dollar dropped to 121.28 Japanese yen from 121.65 yen.
