NEW YORK (AP) - ESPN was the only multiple winner in awards for the best media Web sites, claiming the top spots in sports and television categories.
Sites for The New York Times, the British Broadcasting Corp., CNN and The Associated Press were among the other winners of the 12th annual EPpy Awards, announced Thursday by Editor & Publisher and Mediaweek magazines.
More than 450 entries were submitted in 33 categories. In many cases, sites with more than 1 million unique monthly visitors competed separately from less-trafficked sites.
