CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) - A newly released investigator's report says Broncos receiver David Kircus threatened a man after Kircus allegedly punched him in the face. Kircus faces a second-degree assault charge after an altercation at a party in suburban Denver early Sunday. Prosecutors added a second count, violent crime, as a sentence enhancer that could lead to a stiffer penalty if he is convicted.
An Arapahoe County sheriff's report made public Friday said Kircus had been asked to leave the party, and the alleged victim had escorted him to the sidewalk. The report said Kircus pointed out they were no longer on private property and hit the other man in the eye, causing multiple fractures.
"You don't know what I'm capable of," Kircus told the man, according to the report.
