BERLIN (AP) - The dollar fell slightly against the euro Thursday as new reports showed the U.S. economy nearly stalled during the first quarter, a shock that was offset by a drop in the number claiming unemployment benefit.
The euro bought $1.3443 in afternoon European trading, compared with the $1.3436 it bought in New York late Wednesday. The British pound slipped to $1.9758 from $1.9761.
The dollar edged up to 121.91 Japanese yen from 121.58 yen.
