NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The state has revoked the license of a day care center accused of hiding crying infants in a storage room during an unannounced inspection, officials said.
The notice was received by the husband of the woman who owns the center, said Department of Human Services spokeswoman Michelle Mowery Johnson. He said that the day care was closed and that the owner did not plan to appeal, she said.
Officials said there was only one worker at Paulette's Group Day Care Home when an inspector visited on May 11. The staffing level was in violation of state rules.
