BERLIN (AP) - The dollar gained against the euro with the release of U.S. employment data Friday, taking back some of the ground lost a day prior on disappointing growth figures from the world's biggest economy.
The 13-nation euro bought $1.3435 in late afternoon European trading, compared with $1.3453 in New York late Thursday.
The British pound edged up to $1.9800 from $1.9796, while the dollar rose to 122.06 Japanese yen from 121.73 yen.
