WASHINGTON (AP) - The Bush administration on Friday named five foreign individuals and one Mexican entity to a list of suspected drug traffickers and those who trade in narcotics to help terrorists.
They will be sanctioned under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act and will be denied access to the U.S. financial system and all trade and transactions involving U.S. companies and individuals.
The action brings to 68 the number of individuals and entities designated under the act, which became law in December 1999 and targets significant foreign narcotics traffickers, their organizations and operatives worldwide.
