NEW YORK (AP) - Industrial metals prices moved higher Monday as inventories of zinc, copper and aluminum dwindled.
Elsewhere in the commodity markets, gold prices slipped while other precious metals booked gains; crude oil prices climbed and agriculture futures fell.
Zinc and copper posted the strongest gains on Monday, rising more than 2 percent on the London Metal Exchange as stockpiles continued to shrink. Threat of a strike by workers at several copper and zinc mines owned by Grupo Mexico supported higher prices, according to a BNP Paribas report.
