ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Gary Matthews Jr. had four hits, including his third career grand slam, and Orlando Cabrera matched his career high with four hits to help the Los Angeles Angels rout the Minnesota Twins 16-3 on Monday night.
Vladimir Guerrero added three hits and Casey Kotchman, Mike Napoli and Garret Anderson also homered for the Angels, who belted out a season-high 23 hits.
The Angels are off to the best start in franchise history at 37-22 and are a major league-best 23-8 at home. They've won 15 of their last 19 overall and are 15 games over .500 for the first time this season.
