CHICAGO (AP) - Alex Rodriguez helped the New York Yankees get a rare victory over a left-hander. A good one, too. Rodriguez homered and drove in three runs to lead the Yankees to a 7-3 victory over Mark Buehrle and the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night.
The Yankees broke a 1-1 tie with four runs in the sixth, making a winner of rookie Tyler Clippard (3-1). He pitched five innings, allowing one run on five hits while striking out four and walking three.
The White Sox loaded the bases with one out in the eighth against Kyle Farnsworth but settled for one run.
