DENVER (AP) - Brad Hawpe had a two-run tiebreaking triple in the seventh inning to help the Colorado Rockies beat the Houston Astros 8-7 on Wednesday night.
Kaz Matsui had tied the game 5-5 with a homer, and finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Matt Holliday was 3-for-3 with an RBI. He is 11-for-14 with six RBIs in his career against Houston starter Woody Williams.
Taylor Buchholz (3-3) worked a scoreless seventh inning for the win. Brian Fuentes pitched the ninth for his 17th save in 19 chances despite giving up a solo homer to pinch-hitter Morgan Ensberg.
