ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Leadoff hitter Curtis Granderson set the tone for another huge offensive night from the Detroit Tigers. Granderson had two triples and three RBIs, and Gary Sheffield homered to ignite a six-run third to lift the Tigers past the reeling Texas Rangers 11-4 Thursday night.
"Granderson has been doing this all year at the top of the lineup," said first baseman Sean Casey, who had three hits. "Those triples really get the whole offense going."
Brandon Inge drove in three runs, and Magglio Ordonez had three hits as the Tigers feasted on Rangers pitching for the second straight night.
