KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Andy Landers has had great success since being hired as women's basketball coach at Georgia in 1979. He still has at least one item left on his to do list.
"We've done everything there is to do in women's basketball with the exception of one thing and that's win the national championship," Landers said Friday after touring the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, where he is a new inductee.
Landers headlines the six inductees, joining Texas player Andrea Lloyd Curry, Louisiana Tech player Pamela Kelly-Flowers, Tennessee teammates Daedra Charles-Furlow and Bridgette Gordon and veteran Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Mel Greenberg. A weekend of activities was planned for the inductees.
