Shock Remain WNBA's Only Unbeaten Team

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Katie Smith scored 23 points and Cheryl Ford added 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as the Detroit Shock beat the Connecticut Sun 79-74 Sunday to remain the WNBA's only unbeaten team.

The 6-0 start is Detroit's best ever and extends the Shock's winning streak to eight games dating to last season's WNBA Finals.

Shannon Johnson added 12 points and Swin Cash had 11.
