FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Former media tycoon Leo Kirch has sued Deutsche Bank AG and its former CEO, seeking about $1.6 billion in damages over comments about the creditworthiness of his now-defunct media group.
The Munich state court said Wednesday that it has yet to set a date for a hearing on Kirch's claim against the bank and former CEO Rolf Breuer.
In a statement, Deutsche Bank dismissed the lawsuit and the financial demand as unfounded. Breuer could not be reached.
