 FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Canada coach Stephen Hart was startled to see Guatemala play defensively at the start of the game.
The strategy didn't work against Canada, which reached the Gold Cup semifinals for the second time in the last four tournaments by defeating Guatemala 3-0 Saturday on Ali Gerba's two goals.
"I was very surprised because I thought they would play very similar to how they played the U.S. and put pressure," Hart said. "It didn't happen."
