 AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Tamika Catchings had 26 points and 14 rebounds and Tammy Sutton-Brown added 17 points as the Indiana Fever ended the Detroit Shock's perfect start with a 77-67 win Saturday night.
The loss dropped the Shock to 7-1 and prevented them from tying the Los Angeles Sparks' league record of nine straight wins to start a season.
"Detroit has set the standard lately and they are the champions," Indiana coach Brian Winters said. "It's good to see us come here in a get a win, especially after a bad loss last night."
