NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) - Ivo Karlovic of Croatia reached the Nottingham Open semifinals, defeating Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina 7-6 (10), 7-5 Thursday in a Wimbeldon tuneup hit by rain. The conclusion of the three other quarterfinals were postponed until Friday.
Karlovic saved three set points in the first-set tiebreaker. Then, while leading 11-10 the umpire called a let after the Croat's shot was called long. Karlovic hit a passing shot to win the set. The second set was 5-5 when rain interrupted play. Karlovic eventually broke serve and held to advance.
In other matches, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and second-seeded Dmitry Tursunov had each won a set before being forced off the court.
