SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Robbie Findley scored twice in his Real Salt Lake debut, leading the team to its first win of the season, 2-1 over D.C. United 2-1 on Saturday night.
Findley, who was traded to Real Salt Lake (1-5-6) on Thursday from the Los Angeles Galaxy, struggled to adjust to the altitude during practice Friday. He was fine Saturday, scoring first on a one-on-one with D.C. United goalkeeper Jay Nolly in the 41st minute.
The rookie, who had scored twice during eight games with the Galaxy, beat Nolly again in the 50th minute. Findley was subbed out in the 73rd minute and received a standing ovation from the crowd of 16,319.
