LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was lower against other major currencies in late European trading Monday. Gold rose.
The euro traded at $1.3616, up from $1.3535 late Friday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3625.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Friday, included 122.35 Japanese yen, down from 123.14; 1.2113 Swiss francs, down from 1.2219; and 1.0553 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0626.
