LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was higher against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday. Gold prices fell.
The euro traded at $1.3604, down from $1.3637 late Monday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3610.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Monday, included 122.33 Japanese yen, edging up from 122.32; 1.2159 Swiss francs, up from 1.2103; and 1.0623 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0562.
