LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading Thursday. Gold fell.
The euro traded at $1.3588, down from $1.3633 late Wednesday. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3588.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Wednesday, included 122.92 Japanese yen, up from 122.43; 1.2190 Swiss francs, up from 1.2160; and 1.0581 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0605.
