PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria (AP) - The kidnappers of a 3-year-old British girl are threatening to kill her and then come after her parents if their demands aren't met, the girl's sobbing mother said Friday.
Oluchi Hill told The Associated Press that gunmen holding her daughter, Margaret, had contacted her again on Friday to press their demands but she did not elaborate.
She said in a brief interview through the gates of the family compound that the kidnappers were giving the girl bread and water, but also were threatening to kill the child, Hill and the girl's British father.
