LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly lower against other major currencies in European trading late Friday. Gold prices rose.
The euro traded at $1.3631, up from $1.3598 late Thursday. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3620.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Thursday, included 123.10 Japanese yen, up from 122.88; 1.2167 Swiss francs, down from 1.2169; and 1.0465 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0566.
