SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Philadelphia's Ryan Howard will be among the sluggers looking to splash a few homers into San Francisco Bay on Monday night. The Phillies' first baseman is the defending champion of the All-Star Home Run Derby, which takes place at AT&T Park.
Joining Howard on the National League Derby roster are the St. Louis Cardinals' Albert Pujols and NL home run leader Prince Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Florida Marlins' Miguel Cabrera was a late scratch because of a shoulder injury, and MLB has yet to name a replacement.
The American League participants include the Minnesota Twins' Justin Morneau, Vladimir Guerrero of the Anaheim Angels, the Detroit Tigers' Magglio Ordonez, and the Toronto Blue Jays' Alex Rios.
