MIAMI (AP) - Hanley Ramirez drove in three runs and Rick Vanden Hurk pitched five sharp innings as the Florida Marlins beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-0 on Tuesday night.
Vanden Hurk (3-2), a native of the Netherlands who was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday morning to start the game, allowed five hits, struck out six and walked one.
After earning the win for the World Team in last week's All-Star Futures game, Vanden Hurk breezed through the first five innings against St. Louis to win his first major league start since beating Kansas City on June 16.
